Holidate was born out of an innovation competition by Singapore Airlines, also known as Singapore Airlines AppChallenge 2022. We took part in the wildcard category that explores any creative ideas that revolutionise the way we fly, travel, work and play.
Together with a friend of mine, we were a business marketing and visual/service design duo who enjoys traveling as well, so we decided to put our strengths and interests into recreating a new travel experience. (Our team achieved 3rd out of 110 teams globally!)
We highlighted a gap between today’s flying experience and flying trends, where consumer mindsets for traveling has long changed. Long were the days when travelers prefer to plan in advance for their trips.
